This is a painting inspired by altar rituals and walks in my neighborhood, where lately black cats have been roaming. The milagro heart symbol is one I see on these walks. Black cats pass by my studio window constantly and feel like little protective spirits. I have some collectors who like to use my smaller paintings on their altars and this one is definitely suited for those purposes, containing both symbols of protection and offerings of beauty.
10% of all sales of this collection will be donated to immigration lawyer funds and meal distribution in Minneapolis.
